Despite its better efforts, it occasionally fails to download the correct - or any - ID5 information. iTunes makes an effort of fetching track information for any CDs you rip. That stage 2 pack from Cobb looks interesting at $1900 with intercooler, intake, accessport and their standard maps- I hear you'll want a custom tune right away, but I have no first hand experience with Cobb. Tune Sweeper will remove these orphaned tracks. Great tune! Catch the spring sales if you can, if you buy both TCU/ECU you basically get cable for free. Need a windows PC, I hear a VM on a Mac work tooģ0 min in driveway and you're done with both (need internet connection) 3 AutoX events and ~17k miles later- not one issueĬable/Tune is VIN locked, be sure you're keeping that car I threw an EPC light on a long (250 mi), fast cruise with about 500 miles on the tune- restarted car, perfect since then. Had one Dyno run (not a great test), 309HP, 312 TQ at wheels all stock HW When I drive fast, I still like the paddles!ĮCU pulls hard from about 3.1k to 6.8k, the whole way. Improves D mode for daily commutes, smoother shifts than factory I've been running it about 18k miles on a MK7. Tune Sweeper can scan your iTunes library for duplicate tracks based on your preferred search criteria' and is an app in the file management category. Still debating on the yearly package (about $140 a year for spring / fall tuneup), but he was a nice enough guy and didn't push anything so if anything goes wrong he'll be the first one I call.My thoughts on the 1+ Unitronic, ECU and TCU. Tune Sweeper is described as '4 is an easy to use utility which lets you quickly and easily clean up your iTunes Library. He also didn't angle for replacing anything anytime soon but rather suggested keeping up with inspections and maintenance to get the most life out of it.Īll in all I was pretty pleased. He mentioned his yearly package for spring / fall tuneups but didn't push it. He was low key and suggested fixing them but did not pressure. Fixing them wasn't super cheap but wasn't outrageous either. Second the tubing protecting the 220v wiring going into the outdoor unit was broken which could allow water to get into the electronics.īoth were quite obvious problems that he wasn't making up. First the drain line was clogged leading to standing water in the air handler which was starting to rust things out. The guy spent 3 hours going over my system and completely cleaning out and found two problems. I just bought a house a few months ago and bought a furnace / ac tuneup off angieslist for $30. So yeah.are these services worth the cost? If so, is it really something that needs to be done yearly?Įdit: another reason I am wary of it being a scam: If they came in to do the tune-up and suddenly found a laundry list of problems that would cost me a thousand dollars to fix, I'd have no clue if they were telling the truth or not. After all, $400 every five-six years is way better than $120/year for 5-6 years. But I have no idea if those tune-ups are necessary at all, or if they are if they're necessary every year. So at first blush this seems like a great deal (pay $120 yearly instead of $400+). It costs $10 a month, and you get a yearly tune up included for both units. But they conveniently offer a membership. And the whole process could involve three steps: scanning, selecting and deleting. With regard to this function, the app works like a typical iTunes duplicate remover or duplicate file finder would do. So, total, you'd spend over $400 to get your a/c and furnace tuned up. Tune Sweeper is best known of its function to detect and delete dupes in iTunes. So, to give you an example, we have one company that chrages ~$200 per unit. But the thing that makes me think it's a scam is that most of these companies also offer a membership of some sort that bills you monthly but includes free yearly tune-ups for both your furnace and A/C. I've found these things to be crazy expensive.
